A 70th Birthday Extended Family Session at Old Settlers Park
This extended family session at Old Settlers Park was planned to celebrate a very special milestone: Karina’s mom’s 70th birthday, photographed on her actual birthday!
With nine family members across multiple generations, this session was full of laughter, movement, and meaningful moments that reflect what extended family photos are really about: connection.
One of my favorite parts of this session was how personal it felt. The youngest grandchild proudly held her doll for one photo, and at one point an older sister pulled her brother into a big, spontaneous hug. These unscripted moments are what make extended family sessions feel alive and authentic, especially when celebrating a milestone birthday.
Extended family photo sessions are a great option for birthdays, anniversaries, or anytime everyone is together. While larger groups sometimes benefit from a little extra time, this full session allowed us to capture a wide variety of groupings and genuine interactions.
