Bull Creek Preserve Fall Mini Session with the Ko Family
This fall mini session with the Ko family took place at Bull Creek Preserve, a favorite Austin location for outdoorsy family photos. We met through Partners in Parenting (PIP) when our now three-year-olds were newborns, which made photographing their family feel especially meaningful.
For this session, the Ko family chose an all-blue color palette, and what made it successful was the mix of different shades and fabrics. Lighter and darker blues paired together, along with a combination of soft lace, casual knits, and structured denim, created visual interest without feeling overly styled or coordinated.
Bull Creek Preserve’s rocky paths and creek setting offered a timeless backdrop, while the family’s thoughtful styling allowed the focus to stay on connection, movement, and genuine moments. Fall mini sessions like this are a great option for families who want natural, candid images in a short and easy session.
Looking for an Austin family photographer for fall mini sessions? I’d love to help you plan a relaxed, natural session that fits your family.
