Mom & Daughter Mini Session at The Lumen Room Austin
This sweet mommy and me mini session took place at The Lumen Room, a natural light studio in Austin, Texas. At three years old, her daughter brought all the playful energy as well as sweet, quiet cuddles with her stuffed bear.
These images were created for a holiday card, but without any holiday theming. Choosing timeless outfits and a neutral studio space allows photos like these to be displayed year-round, not packed away once the season ends.
One of the biggest benefits of an indoor natural light studio is flexibility. Studio sessions can be scheduled in the morning — often a much better time of day for young kids — and they offer a calm, weather-proof environment with minimal distractions. The main downside is the added cost of renting the space, but for many families, the consistent light and relaxed pace are well worth it.
