Bluebonnet Family Photos: Capture the Magic of Spring
There’s something truly magical about springtime in Texas, especially when the bluebonnets are in full bloom. The landscape transforms into a sea of vibrant blue flowers, making it the perfect backdrop for family photos.
In Austin, bluebonnet season typically peaks from mid-March through early April. As the bluebonnets start to fade, other beautiful wildflowers begin to bloom, offering even more chances to capture stunning, colorful memories throughout the spring.
This year, we’re excited to offer both mini sessions and full sessions to fit your family’s needs. Mini sessions are a quick and efficient option for smaller families who want to capture a few beautiful photos. On the other hand, a full hour session offers more time to relax, explore different poses, and capture a wider variety of images.
Mini Sessions
Duration: 15 minutes
Pricing: $100, which includes 5 photos that you can choose from your proof gallery. You’ll also have the option to purchase additional images.
Dates: We’re offering mini sessions on the evenings of March 29th and 30th, and April 2nd and 6th. We also have a few morning spots available on March 29th and April 6th. You can check the link below for the full schedule.
Locations:
- March 30th evening: Muleshoe Bend (Spicewood)
- April 6th evening: Circle C Ranch Park (South Austin)
- All other sessions: Old Settlers Park (Round Rock)
While Muleshoe Bend is about an hour outside of Austin, it’s totally worth the drive! The expansive bluebonnet fields there are absolutely breathtaking.
Full Sessions
Duration: Up to 1 hour
Pricing: $100 session fee, with packages starting at $75 for 10 photos that you can personally select from your proof gallery.
Dates: Full sessions are available on the evening of March 26th, April 9th, and April 13th (wildflower session). There’s a possibility that by April 9th, we’ll also have more wildflowers blooming alongside the bluebonnets!
Locations: You can choose from a location in the Austin area, or we can travel outside of Austin for an additional travel fee.
Weather and Cancellations
While we’ll shoot in all kinds of weather, including overcast skies, a little chill, or heat, if the weather becomes extreme (e.g., strong winds), I’ll reach out to offer rescheduling options. And we’ll always reschedule for rain!
If none of the available reschedule dates work for you, you can apply your session fee toward a future mini or full session. Please note that no-shows or late cancellations will result in forfeiting your session fee.
Turnaround Time
We’ll deliver your photos within four weeks of receiving your selected favorites.
We’re always working hard to get your images to you as quickly as possible, but since it’s such a busy time of year, we ask for your patience.
If you need your photos sooner, there’s an option to pay a rush fee for faster delivery.
Booking Process
To book your spot, simply use the links below to choose a time slot for either a mini session or full session. We’ll then send you an invoice for the $100 session fee along with a contract.
To secure your spot, payment must be made within 24 hours of receiving your invoice, so don’t wait—these spots fill up fast! Right now, sign-ups are exclusive to this email list, but they’ll be posted on social media soon, so make sure to grab your spot before they’re gone.
Once you’ve booked, I’ll send you a questionnaire, to be filled out at least one week before your session. We’re happy to answer any questions, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
